About WorkplaceComply

What we do

WorkplaceComply provides free, independent compliance tools and plain English guides for UK employment law. We exist to help small and medium businesses understand their obligations under the Employment Rights Act 2025 — without needing to hire an employment lawyer or a consultant for basic questions.

The Employment Rights Act 2025 is the biggest overhaul of UK employment law in a generation. The phased rollout runs from April 2026 through 2028. Most small businesses don't have an in-house HR function. Our goal is to close that gap with practical, accurate, jargon-free tools.

What we are not

WorkplaceComply is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Nothing on this website should be taken as legal advice, and no solicitor-client relationship is formed by using our tools or reading our guides.

Our tools and guides provide general information about legal requirements. They are not tailored to your specific circumstances. For complex situations — a contested dismissal, a TUPE transfer, a discrimination claim — you should consult a qualified employment solicitor.

How we keep it free

All tools and guides are free to use. We do not charge, require signup, or sell advertising. The site is supported by its operators. We do not accept payment from law firms or HR consultancies, and we do not make referrals for commission.

Sources we use

All content is based on official primary sources. We do not rely on secondary reporting or commentary.

  • Employment Rights Act 2025 — the Act itself, as published on legislation.gov.uk. [legislation.gov.uk]
  • GOV.UK employer guidance — BEIS and HMRC guidance on implementation, commencement orders, and secondary legislation. [gov.uk]
  • ACAS guidance — ACAS publishes updated guidance on statutory rates, procedures, and best practice as legislation takes effect. [acas.org.uk]
